Cadmatic is an engineering software suite for shipbuilding and industrial plants that connects 3D design, P&IDs, and project data, with a token subscription or a perpetual license plus maintenance.
Shipyards and plant EPCs use this suite when hull, outfitting, piping, and electrical work have to share one project instead of a pile of disconnected drawings. The company site describes tools for newbuild and retrofit ships, process-plant layout, and a digital twin for operations. It also states more than 6,000 customer organisations, more than 20,000 users, and customers in more than 60 countries.
Licensing is the part people search for, and the public pricing page does not print a euro amount for the main design tools. Cadmatic One License is a shared token pool: an application borrows tokens while it is open and returns them when it closes. Terms can be monthly or yearly. A perpetual license is still sold, with a three-year initial maintenance period that then renews one year at a time.
Cadmatic Draw is the exception with a store price. It is a standalone 2D and 3D drafting app for Windows 10 and 11, and it is also the drawing engine under Cadmatic Electrical. The store lists it per user in euros. A 30-day trial matches the paid feature set, except trial drawings carry a watermark.
Draw imports DWG, DXF, IFC, BCF, DGN, DRW, and PDF, and its export list names DWG, DXF, BCF, DRW, and PDF. A free Cadmatic Drawing Viewer prints and views 2D drawings, and eBrowser is described as a free 3D viewer. Perpetual, network, and rental options for Draw exist, but those are quoted through a contact form rather than the web store.

Does Cadmatic run on Mac?
Cadmatic Draw is listed for Windows 10 and Windows 11. The company homepage says other products publish their own hardware and operating-system requirements in the docs at docs.cadmatic.com. Mac and Linux are not named on the Draw page or the COL pricing page.
Does Cadmatic Draw open IFC and DWG files?
Yes for import. The Draw license list includes DWG, DXF, IFC, BCF, DGN, DRW, and PDF on the way in. The export list on that same block names DWG, DXF, BCF, DRW, and PDF, and it does not name IFC. Raster images such as JPEG, TIFF, GIF, BMP, and PNG are also supported.
Should I buy Cadmatic One License or a perpetual license?
COL is the subscription Cadmatic now calls its primary model: one shared token pool, monthly or yearly, aimed at teams whose workload moves between tools. Perpetual plus maintenance is the one-time purchase, with three years of maintenance up front and one-year renewals after that, aimed at steady long-term use. Existing maintenance customers can convert to tokens, and the pricing page says the conversion is planned with Cadmatic rather than self-serve. Neither option shows a public euro amount.
